Things are moving at oona, literally! oona Amsterdam says goodbye to Funenpark 1, and is moving to the heart of Amsterdam this week: Rokin 75!
And we are not the only media addicted people who think Rokin is the place to be: earlier this week the highly reknown newspaper NRC Handelsblad announced its big move from Rotterdam to the Amsterdam...Rokin!! We like!
Come and see us there quickly!

oona got a visit from world's most courageous stylist, better known as Harald 'bakfiets' Ligtvoet! Go Harald!!

River Island SS11 collection preview in Antwerp & Amsterdam

This week the River Island SS11 collection was presented to a limited number of journalists, stylists and bloggers at an in-store moment in Antwerp as well as in Amsterdam.

The new collection is sheer eye candy, with powdery colours, flashy stripes, elegant maxi dresses  & skirts! Finger licking food, lovely bubbles and two great DJ duo's (Club zonder filter and Blanche & Bietnik) were the cherry on the cake. Thanks for stopping by everyone!

Proud to present: new oona @ oona Amsterdam

Claire Trienekens is our brand new showroom manager at oona Amsterdam!

Claire is addicted to art, culture, architecture and above all FASHION! She loves to have long dinners with her friends, travelling and the best sin a girl can have: high heels!

She studied allround styling at Amsterdam Artemis Academy, did an internship at ELLE and still blogs for ELLE.nl.

This little fashion centipede also assisted great stylists such as Saskia van Langevelde (ELLE), Pedro Dias (Elegance, Le Vif Weekend) and Dimphy Den Otter (Glamour).

And now Claire is very excited to get crackin’ on the oona Amsterdam showroom! A very warm welcome indeed!

Ici Paris XL Blogger Session 'Expertise Parfum'

Last week we had a couple of passionate beauty bloggers over at oona for a true knowledge injection.

Ici Paris XL's Muriel Hille and perfume expert Dimitri Weber enlightened us with the top perfumes sold in 2010, perfume families, ingredients and the history of perfume.

Alice & Zorro get drunk at Café Costume

Café Costume's Bruno Van Gils and the creative duo Alice & Zorro (WE Project gallery) met at an art fair in Brussels. They instantly were so enthusiastic about each other's ideas they simply had to celebrate it with a serious overload of bubbles and cocktails. This memorable meeting grew into a collaboration by the very appropriate name "Alice & Zorro get drunk at Café Costume".

The concept: Contemporary Art Ready To Wear.

Blazers by Café Costume get customized and worked up by artists into wearable Contemporary Art.

Artists on the job are not only Alice & Zorro, but also light artist Stéfane Perraud, tagger Xavier Noiret-Thomé and fashion designers On Aura Tout Vu - known from their collaboration with Lady Gaga).
